Fiona Marsden: freelance writer/editor

Corporate writing & editing services

As well as writing feature articles for print and online publications, I write and edit material for professional organisations ranging from small businesses to not-for-profit peak bodies, universities and government departments. I ghostwrite a regular blog for the real estate review website and ASX-listed company ratemyagent.com.au.

I am a consulting editor to the publishers of Monash magazine. I was the copy editor/proofreader for Mufti, the magazine for RSL Victoria members, from 2013–2016. I edited Born to Breastfeed, a ‘how-to guide’ for new parents, published by Coretext in 2015; and the textbook TCM Guide: Pathology – Interpreting Blood Tests into a Chinese Medicine Framework, self-published by Clare Pyers in 2016. I am also a Full Member of the professional editors’ organisation IPEd (Victorian Branch).

If you’re looking for a skilled professional who can:

  • think strategically
  • distill complex topics into digestible information
  • research and write appealing copy for blogs, articles, brochures, websites, newsletters, Annual Reports, media releases and other corporate collateral
  • edit your written material to ensure the right style for the desired readership and the best structure for your message (and weed out those unintended grammatical howlers into the bargain!)
  • deliver high-quality work on time

contact me to discuss your requirements.
